I love fruit and fruit platters (provided I can get in there first before everyone else dives in) but I don't like when they don't look appealing. Fruit is sometimes easy to arrange as it has some beautiful colours and is easy to cut into different shapes, but some people don't make the effort.

Mmmm, yummy! That picture is taken on a buffet line which I stood behind for 15 years. It was amazing as I was watching people go through the line, how they would avoid touching anything with the slightest imperfection. In food-service good presentation is critical.

It is interesting how much we eat with our eyes. I had no idea that so much went into the presentation. I guess it makes a whole lot of difference to how it is perceived to taste.

just the sound of this makes me hungry!

Seriously though… I had no idea that so much went into the presentation.
